Pisk en halv liter piskefløde med 5 spsk kakaopulver og en dl sukker helt stift, og lad det stå i køleskabet i et pr timer. Pisk en anden halv liter piskefløde stift, mos en ps hindbær mens de er i en si. Bland hindbær’ne og en dl sukker i piskefløden. Og den skal også i køleskabet i et pr timer.

Brug 4 lagkagebunde i alt, og læg to lag choko og to lag hindbær på skift.

How do you know if you are close to Allah?

This is something I found on Hijrah To Algeria… blog and I just had to share…

If you want to find out whether you are close to Allah, this is the way:

Look at how easy or difficult it is to do different actions that are pleasing to Allah (reading qu’ran, giving sadaqa, qiyam, siyam, etc).

If you are so happy and take great pleasure at performing these acts, and it is easy for you – this is a sign that you are close to Allah.

If it is difficult for you and you find yourself making excuses, and it is hard for you and you literally have to drag yourself to do these acts, then know that you do not have a close relationship with Allah.’

Raising Children Advice taken from an islamic forum

Assalamu alaikum,

Be sure to bring up the first one well as he will teach the other ones, especially if you have kids when the first one will be a teen.

Be a model for them. This is more effective than talking. If you do not want them to copy a bad habit of yours, then STOP it NOW but it is definitely ESSENTIAL to stop it BEFORE they reach teenage years.

Kids have to learn praying at age of 7, be separated in bed at age of 10 and then, at puberty, they become fully accountable. This means that those years are milestones in a child’s body AND brain.

Around the age of 6 to 7, they will start losing their baby teeth. They will also start to be responsible. Their innocence will start to erode little by little. They know the difference between good and bad, the difference between being a good child and a naughty one. They start to make conscious choices. So beware of that.

Around the age of 10, i.e. between ages of 9 and 11, they will start answering back and argue. This is the time to take control of it and not accept it at all. If you have no control of your kids once they reach 11, you won’t have any control of your kids. This is especially true for BOYS. Some kids, when they reach 15, 16 will go out of the house when a problem occurs and completely rebel against parents. Others will say, when encouraged to do this by others: “I cannot do that, I have not be raised like that.” You want your kids to be of the second kind. For that, it is essential to have control of them when they are 10-11 years old.

At puberty, hormones kick in. As they start being accountable, Shaytan comes to them and tempt them with everything. It is a hard time for them and you. It lasts anything between 2-6 years (more or less). They think they are responsible but they still need lots of guidance but you can only guide them, especially from 17-18 upwards.

Tredobbelt Filter Testen

Under den gyldne Abbasid periode, var en af de lærde i Bagdad, som var det islamiske kalifats hovedstad på daværende tidspunkt, berømt for at besidde høj viden.

En dag mødte en mand den store lærde og sagde: “Ved du, hvad jeg lige hørt om din ven?”

“Vent lidt,” sagde den lærde. “Før du fortæller mig noget, vil jeg gerne have dig til at en lille test. Den kaldes Tredobelt Filter Testen.”

“Tredobbelt filter?”

“Det er korrekt,” fortsatte han. “Før du taler med mig om min ven, er det nok en god ide, at tage et øjeblik og filtrere om hvad du vil sige.”

Derfor kalder jeg det Tredobbelt Filter Testen.

Det første filter er sandheden. Er du helt sikkert på, at det du skal til at sige til mig, er sandt?”

“Nej,” sagde manden, “faktisk hørte jeg bare om det og ..”

“Okay så,” sagde han. “Så du ved ikke om det er sandt.”

Lad os nu prøve det andet filter, det andet filter er godheden. Er hvad du skal til at fortælle mig om min ven, noget godt?”

“Nej, faktisk det modsatte…”

“Nå,” fortsatte han, “Du vil gerne fortælle mig noget dårligt om ham, men du er ikke sikker på, at det er sandt. Du kan dog stadig bestå testen for der er ét filter tilbage: nemlig nytte filteret.”

Er hvad du skal til at fortælle mig om min ven, noget der er mig nyttigt?”

“Nej, ikke rigtigt.”

“Jamen,” konkluderede den lærde, “hvis det du vil fortælle mig, ikke er sandt, ikke er en god ting, ej heller noget der er af nytte, hvorfor så fortælle mig det overhovedet?”

“O ye who believe! Let not some men among you laugh at others: It may be that the (latter) are better than the (former)” … (to end of surah) Hujurat 49.12

“And spy not on each other behind their backs…” (to end of surah) Hujurat 49.13

A tour through the universe

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahee wa Barakatu

What is the universe. Where are we living in right now, and where is Jannah. How many heavens are there? All of these will be discussed next:

We are not living on the planet we call Earth. This is a very small planet. We find many wonderful and painful things on this planet, a temporal abode for us.

Now, I would like to present you a tour through the universe, while I am trying to show you what Allah, subhanahu wa ta’ala, created for us and his creatures. We imagine we are inside a spaceship, or riding on the buraq, or an angel is our guide. We try to imagine what the Messenger of Allah Muhammad, salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam, experienced while journeying through the universe until he reached Allah, subhanahu wa ta’ala. We know that our souls will go to a journey as well before the grave. The good soul will travel through the universe until it meets with Allah, subhanahu wa ta’ala. The evil soul will not be permitted into the first heaven. Let us imagine that we are the good soul travelling through the universe.

Let me begin. Now we live on earth. We start our journey:

We are living on earth right now. This world is part of a solar system. This solar system is part of a galaxy, the Milky Way. The milky way is part of a much greater system, and on and on and on. The whole space, which we call universe, is the first heaven. The Arabic word for this first dunia is Sama’a-ad-Dunia, the World(ly)-Heaven. Allah, subhanahu wa ta’ala, mentions in Al-Qur’an that He adorned the lowest heaven with stars/lamps. This mean that we are right now living on earth which is within the lowest heaven. There is a gate that leads us into the lowest heaven. Angels are the gatekeepers of the gate of the first heaven. From here we cannot see it but there is a gate.

Now, we travel from the earth across the first heaven. This trip seems endless because the first heaven if very huge and even seem to expand until the end of time. We know of stars and galaxies that are millions of light years away from us. The light travels in a speed of about 360.000 miles per SECOND, not per hour, per second. However, it takes the light millions of years to reach these stars or galaxies. This is a vast creation. All of these stars are within the first heaven, samaa-ad-dunia. Here in this heaven, Muhammad met with Adam, alayhi salam.

We keep on travelling and the we arrive to a gate. This is the gate to the second heaven. The gatekeepers open the gate and we continue travelling throughout the heaven. This heaven is different from the first heaven, as it is not adorned with stars. We find this heaven filled with angels worshipping and glorifying Allah, subhanahu wa ta’ala. John the Baptist and Isa ben Maryam, alayhi salam, are in the second heaven. The size of the second heaven is larger than that of the first heaven. To compare the size we should imagine a desert and a wedding ring. The second heaven is the desert, but the first heaven is the ring. Just throw the ring in the desert. This is the size of the second heaven compared to the first heaven.
But this heaven is crowded with angels.

We keep on moving and we arrive the gate of heaven number three. The size of the third heaven is much greater than that of the second. This time the second heaven is the ring and the third is the desert. Just throw the ring in the desert. That is the size of the third heaven. The third heaven is filled with angels as well. The third heaven is the dwelling place for Yousuf, alayhi salam, right now.

We keep on travelling until we arrive the gate of the Fourth Heaven. We again see that this heaven is crowded with angels. The size of the Fourth Heaven compared to the Third is like a ring in the desert. Can you imagine the combined size of Heaven One to Four. We might meet with Idrees, alayhi salam.

We keep on moving toward the dwelling place of Haroon, alayhi salam, which is the Fifth Heaven. This heaven compared to the Fourth is like a ring in the desert – a dwelling place of the angels.

We keep on moving toward the gates of the Sixth Heaven. There we meet, Moses, alayhi salam, and angels, angels, and more angels. The size compared to the Fifth is like a ring in the desert.

We keep on moving and reach the gate of the Seventh Heaven, where we meet with Ibraheem, alayhi salam. We will see him next to a House. In this heaven which is much bigger than the sixth heaven, you know like a ring in the desert.

We realized that the Heavens are above the other. Now, we travel farther until we reach to a Tree, a Lote Tree. This Tree is very huge and this tree is the the End of the Heavens. This means that the Seventh Heaven is the Last Heaven and the End of the Heavens. The Tree is the End.

Now, we travel farther. Until we reach to gates which is guarded by angels. We see that there are Eight Gates. These are the gates of Jannah, the gates of Paradise. There is a gate for people who like to Fast, and a gate for those who pray much, and a gate for those who give zakah etc.
The gatekeepers admit us in. We travel through Paradise. We discover alot of wonders and miracles. The width of Paradise is like all seven heavens altogether. Just the width, what about the length and the depth of Paradise.

We travel and travel until we reach Jannatul-Firdaus. Jannatul-Firdaus is the highter section of Paradise. The highest levels of Paradise including Al-Waseela, are in Jannatul-Firdaus. We travel until we see al-Waseela, the dwelling place of the Messenger of Allah Muhammad. Al-Waseela is the highest and last level of Paradise which have many, many level.

Now, our souls travel further and we reach Al-Kursi, or the Kursi of Allah. The Kursi of Allah is above Paradise and Paradise is above the heavens. The Kursi is like the footstool of Allah. Then we travel even further than that and we reach the Throne of Allah, subhanahu wa ta’ala, which is above Al-Kursi. Allah is above the throne.
